Spring is now in all its glory and along with Spring comes many exciting classroom experiences. Our rooms are filled with discussions about the metamorphosis of the caterpillar, the migration of birds, the intrigue of insects and the beauty of colorful Spring flowers. The children are spending lots of time outdoors observing and enjoying all the wonderful changes in nature. On Thursday, May 3, the Early Childhood Center will be closed as our teachers will be attending workshops at the Early Childhood Conference presented by the Board of Jewish Education. Our staff is always eager to learn about new ideas that might benefit us and our children. In celebration of Lag B'Omer all the children will be snacking and picnicking outdoors with their classes. It's a time to enjoy the beauty around us. The two year olds will be hosting a Special Person Picnic. Mother's Day is always lots of fun for the children. In school we focus on Moms and the many hats they wear. Our children will be surprising their Moms with their very own home made gifts and cards. Oh how they love to see your reactions to these gifts. Pre-K classes are busy planning for their Graduation/Author 's Luncheon. The children will be writing and illustrating their own books for this event. They will also be preparing lunch and beautiful table décor. What a memorable day it will be. We are gearing up for a terrific camp season. There are still some openings available. Registration for School in our Nursery and Parenting center is filling quickly. Please call the office for details at (516)-239-1354.
