There is A LOT going on in February for us to let you know about — which is impressive considering the shortness of the month! We begin our month with a wonderful, Family Shabbat celebration that includes the SIDDUR PRESENTATION! We hope all families will be in attendance for both dinner and services as our Fourth Graders (and new students) are called to the bimah to receive their own prayerbooks. In addition, of course, we will celebrate the Religious School Scholars for both December and January, enjoy birthday blessings, and have students leading the congregation in song and prayer. The Religious School Committee is scheduled to meet on February 4. This is an important meeting because we will be discussing Purim Carnival plans, shlach manot baskets, and our COMPUTER ROOM. Which leads us to our biggest and most exciting news for the Religious School... we have begun work on our brand new computer room! A generous gift from Aaron Philipson and family, in memory of Sherri has allowed us to bring our education program firmly into the 21st century. Please ask us how our computer room will benefit your child and your family. And, if you would like to make a contribution to our computer room, please call either the Religious School (239-9213) or the Main Office (239-1140). Soon, our Religious School scholars will be able to research our monthly questions on-line in our Temple. However, until then, I leave it to you to research together! To whit —
Have a great month! I look forward to my scholars’ answers on my desk by February 14! David Woolfe |
